SINOPSIS

The whole history of football through the collections of cards. The collecting of cards in Spain has always been a hobby associated with the tender times of our childhood and, in a way, the illusions of our children. But things have changed. The collecting of cards has begun to acquire proportions of adult affection, already disconnected from its obligatory relation with the childhood. And if we focus on the collection of football cards we must admit that a window is opened that did not exist in the occupation of free time and in the enjoyment of small pieces of paper with images of football players, club emblems or images related to the Sport king This hobby begins to demand a purchasing power that moves away from the classic children"s parameters and that goes up steps to this stage, the collector misses a manual, a map of roads, a global vision of the object of his collection, in a nutshell : A catalog. Obviously, this perception is not something unique, the result of some exceptional intuition, but an idea that has been growing in the minds of many collectors and that we have undertaken. The project requires great doses of optimism and a starting assumption: the catalog is necessarily incomplete. It is materially impossible to know all the collections that exist but at the end of the road, after years of effort and research, it will be possible to have an ever more complete and reliable catalog.
