SINOPSIS

The Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-IV Axis I Disorders (SCID-I) is a semi-structured interview designed to perform the most important DSM-IV Axis I diagnoses. Structured interviews have been developed to increase diagnostic reliability through the standardization of the evaluation process and to increase diagnostic validity by facilitating the application of the DSM-IV diagnostic criteria and the systematic investigation of symptoms that otherwise Form could go unnoticed. One of the objectives in the development of SCID was to produce an efficient and easy-to-use instrument, so that the advantages of the structured interview could be applied in the clinical setting. SCID can be used to ensure a more reliable and accurate diagnosis in primary mental health centers and can be very useful given the existence of complex cases that exist in these centers. The SCID-VC represents a further refinement and adaptation of the SCID to facilitate its use in clinical care. The SCID-VC saves time, ensures thorough review, is easy to use, and provides all the necessary information while improving diagnostic accuracy. It consists of 3 elements: 1.User"s guide. (...)
