Poker is a card game in which each player is dealt one card faceup and one facedown. The deal is interrupted at various points in the game for a betting interval. Each round of dealing distributes one card faceup to each active player. After the third round of dealing, the hole cards are revealed and the winning player takes home the pot. In most cases, the best combination of cards doesn’t win.
